China posted the first data on the number of terror attacks in the country, which saw a record-breaking 4,064 incidents last year.
The data also showed that the number, which has risen since 2016, has now reached a new high, at 1,066.
The figures showed that nearly half of the terror attacks occurred in the provinces of Hubei and Shandong, with the rest occurring in the city of Wuhan, Hubeikang, Chongqing, Wuhu and Wuhua.
The report also said that the total number of victims in the terror attack had risen to 6,955, up from 5,828 in 2017.
According to the Ministry of Public Security, about 1,500 people were killed in terror attacks last year, with another 4,000 injured.
The ministry did not give a number of the victims in terror attack in 2017, saying only that there were 5,527 victims.
However, Chinese media has reported that a total of 10,700 people were victims in terrorist attacks in 2017 with the vast majority of the attacks being carried out in Wuhuan and Hubeic.
