The total US lottery revenues are expected at $11.5 billion, up 7% from $11 billion in 2017, according US Treasury.
This year’s jackpot for the National Lottery was $9,829,716, the same as the previous record in 2018, and up 4% from last year.
It is the third highest jackpot in US history, behind only the record jackpot set in 2018 of $7.2 billion.
The jackpot was reached at 6:45 a.m. local time on Wednesday morning.
