The Toronto Maple Leafs have won five straight games and are 10-0-1 this season.
They are currently in first place in the Eastern Conference, with just three games remaining.
There is one game left, and the Leafs are playing their third game in four nights.
That’s a great record, but the Maple Leafs also have an even better chance to make the playoffs.
What’s more, the Leafs’ playoff chances are a bit better than some would like.
Here’s how they stack up.
“We know we’re going to be OK, but we have to get better,” forward Jake Gardiner said.
“We’ve got to get to that point, and we know that.
I think we can, we’ve got a lot of good players in the room.
It’s just a matter of us staying consistent.”
The Maple Leafs are tied with the Detroit Red Wings for the best record in the NHL, with a record of 8-7-1.
They have played in the playoffs six times.
Gardiner was part of a successful playoff run in 2013-14, when the Leafs defeated the Chicago Blackhawks and Los Angeles Kings in six games.
The Maple Marlies beat the Vancouver Canucks in the first round in 2014-15, but fell to the Tampa Bay Lightning in the second round.
This season, the Maple Marries have won two of their past three games, including a 5-1 victory over the Chicago Stars on Tuesday.
That win came on the heels of a 3-1 win over the Buffalo Sabres on Thursday night, when Gardiner scored his second goal of the season in the fourth period.
In that game, the Marlies were able to pull off a 5:18 victory, setting a record for goals scored in a regulation game.
They’re also undefeated this season, going 6-0 in the regular season.
That includes three straight wins, which were also set by the Maple Rooks.
The Marlies’ record in regulation games is 11-3-0, and they have won four straight.
The Leafs’ record when playing in the shootout is 8-2-1, and Gardiner has four goals in his past three outings.
When the Maple Leaguers face off against the Chicago Wolves, the team is 6-4-0.
It’s not that Gardiner is a dominant scorer.
He has 13 goals and 14 assists in 82 games.
But he has two more points than he did in his first three games.
Is there a silver lining?
Gardiner does not have many linemates who can create for him.
He’s not even scoring his own goal.
The Leafs have lost three straight, and have been outscored by a combined seven goals in the third period.
But the Maple Leaf has been a strong team on the power play, registering 13 power-play goals.
Do the Maple Thunders still have the Stanley Cup?
The Maple Thunderers are 2-1-0 against the Maple Rangers, and are currently 2-2 against the Toronto Marlies.
Are the Leafs just a playoff team or is there more to it?
There are some good signs.
Travis Dermott has six goals in 13 games this season and has three goals in three playoff games.
He scored a goal against the Los Angeles Blues last week, and has been involved in all five goals against the Rangers.
Jordin Tootoo has five points in four games against the Detroit Wolves and has four assists.
Josh Leivo has six points in his last five games against Detroit, and scored his third goal of his career in the win over Chicago on Thursday.
Tyler Bozak has four points in five games, and is in his fifth season with the Maple Wings.
Matt Martin has five assists in his four games.
